About the HR development program:

As a member of our global human resources (HR) team, you will work with leaders across the company to help ensure that TI has the talent and capabilities needed to win in the highly competitive and dynamic semiconductor market. As strategic partners, HR plays a critical role in the company’s success, and you will, too.

Are you trying to decide between being a specialist or a generalist? Our program gives you the opportunity to explore both – one as an HR business partner and the other in a specialist role (recruiting, compensation, development, employee relations, etc.).

At the end of this program, you’ll join one of TI’s Human Resources teams and will be well positioned for important senior roles across the organization. In fact, many of our senior HR leaders began their careers at TI by joining our HR Development Program.

Our HR teams work on important activities across a variety of business and functional issues – all of which align HR strategies to support business goals and objectives by working closely with the business group to assess HR needs, then develop and implement innovative solutions that drive organizational and operational excellence. Some of these activities include analyzing TI’s market competitiveness, developing communication strategies to help managers be better leaders, improving recruiting and marketing efforts, identifying high potential talent and implementing development plans, developing key training modules, planning for long-term talent needs, and much more.

In this program, you’ll be immersed in job assignments from the start in positions that are critical to our business success. This is coupled with opportunities for formal learning, networking with peers and senior leaders, as well as on-the-job project opportunities to give you experience in nearly every HR function.

Minimum requirements:

Minimum BS /BA degree in Business, Human Resources or Liberal Arts (candidates with no more than 2-year working experience and fresh out are both acceptable) 2022 graduate

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions

Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery

2023校招-客户质量工程师/Customer Quality Engineer

About the job

Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an energetic, service minded engineer, who enjoys helping others to succeed by providing quality-assurance support to customers, service teams, assigned production operations and programs to ensure that TI’s products are built in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow.

Quality engineers at TI support production operations and ensure the integrity of components and products produced. This individual proactively drives quality improvement efforts in assigned areas with the goal of achieving "zero defect" performance. The role also supports process improvement and problem-solving efforts with the focus on protecting and improving product quality and satisfying both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

 Drive alignment within business units to meet quality requirements for products, processes and services

 Act as the primary quality representative, beginning with new process development and continuing from new product development through product end-of-life

 Act as the focal point for customer returns and customer communication for quality related issues

 Serve as the team leader for a multi-discipline team to solve customer issues

 Drive successful new product ramps that would achieve quality and reliability goals

 Identify systematic issues and driving continuous improvement across the business units

 Balance business unit customer satisfaction indices and customer quality indices

 Some domestic or international travel may be required to support customer engagements

As a manufacturing supervisor, you will work in a wafer fab cleanroom environment and spend 8-9 hours in the factory with manufacturing direct reports. The desired candidate will have previous experience transitioning to new roles quickly and effectively, learning new concepts, and being self-motivated to meet objectives in a rapid paced work environment.

The candidate must be a team player who can work with supervisors and engineers to achieve business goals, have excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, influence others within and across teams, and relate to individuals from various backgrounds, experiences, and skills. The ability to successfully motivate and enable others to perform at a high level is fundamental to the job role. Experience with training and developing others or leading teams is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

Manage workgroup in semiconductor manufacturing wafer fab to achieve manufacturing objectives

Ensure safety, facilitate training, manage and oversee resource allocation

Understand material flow into and out of work group; Reducing human error scrap

Drive continuous improvement activities on shift for cycle time and productivity

Motivate and coach workgroup

Plan and administer policies and procedures

Lead and implement 5S efforts in a manufacturing facility start-up environment on designated shift

Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function

Escalate production issues in a timely and effective manner

Understand processes to prevent scrap occurrence, poor quality and lost cycle time

Communicate process changes, production goals, and helping to resolve issues involving the engineering support groups

Lead cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and technical issues that impact manufacturing, costs, cycle time, etc. in a highly automated factory

Provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals

Drive audit scores to 100%; Working to optimize area layout and providing smooth shift transitions

Be part of the cutting edge in the Applications Engineer Rotation Program, a 12-month program that gives you firsthand exposure to TI customers to determine their design challenges and create innovative solutions. You’ll get to use your technical and creative engineering skills and gain valuable experience working with customers and products on real business problems.

In this role, you will promote TI products and provide technical solutions to customers that will ultimately go into consumer products like smartphones, PC peripherals, personal medical devices, electric cars, e-bikes and much more. You’ll also provide technical support and engage with customers to help define new products and opportunities for future product development.

As a program participant, you’ll work on breakthrough technologies through two, six-month assignments which could be in a variety of field (customer) or business unit organizations.

Rotations in the field are centered on learning how to work directly with customers to solve their problems and position TI to gain share. You will learn customer systems and leverage TI product expertise to help solve complex technical problems or develop competitive, high-performance working proposals for customers. The business unit rotation puts you on an applications team in one of TI’s product lines. During this assignment, you will gain a deep understanding of specific products within the business unit – how to position them, typical problems/barriers, how to test/debug and how to solve customer problems at a system level. Both rotations are hands-on, technical problem-solving focused with the goal of helping you to create compelling solutions and win business for TI.

At the end of your program, you’ll become a member of one of our Field or Business Unit applications teams, where you will have direct responsibility for understanding the product group through the eyes of the customer and solving problems to gain share within our customer accounts.

Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:

Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
