Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. assisting with the research activities of undergraduate students;

2. assisting with the faculties’ research activities;

3. leading and assisting in tutorials for undergraduate courses;

4. conducting student consultations and coordinating student academic activities;

5. preparing teaching materials;

6. grading students’ homework;

7. undertaking other assignments assigned by the Programme Coordinator.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. a higher degree, at least at MA level or above, in translation and interpreting, conference interpreting or related fields, experience in translation and/or interpreting would be a plus;

2. good teaching and communication skills;

3. proficient English skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking;

4. the ability to handle stress and attention to details;

5. excellent team spirit and the ability to work independently;

6. excellent computer and analytical skills;

7. willingness to take up extra responsibilities.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
