清华大学脑与智能实验室（Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence, 简称THBI）是清华大学的校级实体跨学科研究所，专注于脑科学与人工智能领域的交叉科学研究，下设10个独立实验室。脑与智能实验室的目标是聚集脑科学、计算神经科学、认知科学和人工智能领域的国内外顶尖学者，提供一个国际化和交叉科学的工作环境以及一流的核心实验平台，做出国际领先的创新性研究成果。
儿童认知研究中心(Child Cognition Center, CCC)是脑与智能实验室下设的独立实验室，致力于通过研究儿童的学习和认知发展来探索智能的本质。儿童从很早就开始探索世界，他们从身边的人和事物中不断学习，我们的研究聚焦于这些学习过程背后的认知机制。
我们的研究问题包括但不限于：儿童如何学习语言？语言学习如何影响认知发展？儿童如何成为具有创造力的问题解决者？儿童如何认识和推测社会环境与社会准则的关系？这些问题帮助我们了解思维的起源与发展。通过理解最基础的认知过程，我们希望对发展科学与认知科学做出一些贡献，同时引导家长与老师成为更好的教育者和陪伴者。
During the first few years of human life, astonishing learning happens. From a totally dependent and incapable creature, human develops into a language speaking, tool using, and problem solving social being. How our mini selves achieve this is yet to be fully understood.
Our research explores the cognitive mechanisms underlying these learning processes. We ask questions such as: How do children learn language? How do children make discoveries and become creative problem solvers? How do children reason about their social norms and interactions?
By understanding these fundamental cognitive processes, we are able to inform parents and educators of better learning practices, and contribute to developmental science and the understanding of great human intelligence.

01 Job Description
The Child Cognition Center at Tsinghua University, directed by Prof. Stella Christie, is hiring one full-time Lab Manager. This is a permanent position with yearly renewable contract upon performance review. We seek a highly motivated individual who can manage large-scale collaborations between the lab and various entities—research groups, schools, industry, government, and the public at large—as well as manage the day-to-day functioning of the lab within Tsinghua University.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a budget, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. A large degree of independent initiative as well as proficiency in English and Chinese are required.
02 About Child Cognition Center and Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence (THBI)
Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence (THBI) is an interdisciplinary research institute within Tsinghua University, established in 2017. The institute aims to answer foundational questions about brain-mind and intelligence through cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research efforts. To do so, THBI brings together domestic and foreign experts from the fields of brain science, computational neuroscience, engineering, artificial intelligence, and cognitive science.
The Child Cognition Center, one of the largest child cognition research centers in China, is an independent research center housed within THBI. Researchers at the Child Cognition Center enjoy interdisciplinary collaborations with other THBI researchers from various fields and have direct access to THBI research facilities including the Nonhuman Primate Research Centers (housing marmosets Callithrix jacchus) and the Brain Imaging Center. Since the lab conducts comparative research with both human children and marmosets, the lab manager is expected to interact and collaborate on a daily basis with other THBI administrators and researchers.

03 Remuneration and Benefits
Salary is competitive, to be determined depending upon work experience and educational background. The lab manager signs a yearly contract with Tsinghua University and enjoys the same benefits as Tsinghua University staff, including social insurance and housing funds.
